In my lifetime I have gone from wire recorders and 78 RPM records, via reel to reel at 3.35, 7.5 and 15 ips, , 45s and 33s, cassettes, cartridges, CDs, wavs, and mp3s and I still have the equipment to reproduce all of them, so to claim that the "mp3" is dead is somewhat of an overstatement in my mind. That said, I'm more than ready to move to AAC or whatever, when some material I want is readily available in that format. But that's just me, :)
