Roland slide pots wanted (or tips on fixing..)

Postby a.d.a.m. baby » Tue May 23, 2017 12:32 pm

Looking for slide pots for my SH-09, not having much luck with the usual sources. Desoldered and opened one up for a proper clean, but I think the carbon track must be cactus.
Anyone know of a NOS source?
Failing that, perhaps there is a way of reconditioning these things?
Is it completely barmy to consider buying a similar-travel type pot and "transplanting" the carbon bit?

Bah, don't mind me, Steve, I must be a bit slow today. There are of course TWO sides to every slide pot... a little bit of 600 sandpaper to the conducting strip has worked a treat (along with same to the wiper terminals). Tests show smooth change to resistance now. Which is just as well, cos I couldn't find those damn pots anywhere...

Oh, and to answer your question, ALL of them more or less.
