Re: Buyer Beware_NOT a Neumann
well - i wouldn't buy this, particularly at that price.
it does however look to have some original neumann parts - the base and body of the microphone is, not sure about the grill.
the shockmount and inside mounting parts look original too, not the capsule nor electronics.

Re: Buyer Beware_NOT a Neumann
The blue story is long and complicated , the press release 30 years ago was they found 50 neumann mics in russia somewhere that had been in a flood or something and rebuilt them to be reliable , thus the original serial number .
the general assumption amongst the usual suspects is actually none of those mics or their parts ever saw the inside of the neumann factory including the badges .
but it launched blue and red and the rest of them into the world and blue started out with some of the greatest new microphones you could buy . couldn't say what about what i think about the newer ones , i have never tried them .
these old bullshit blue mics do the eBay circuits after the buyers find out that they don't have what they thought they have , but all reports that i believe and trust is they sound fine anyway .
