Fixing Reslo microphones

Yesterday I was using a mates Reslo ribbon mic briefly recording violin. I set the mic up and ran signal through to test it and it was working but then when the player came in that channel would only give me noise. It wasn't the main mic so I moved on quickly. I will be back in today to test it because we did have some trouble with the lines going to the control room once. Now if it's the mic I will be surprised as I handled it with extreme care. If for some reason the ribbon has broken Where can I get it fixed and how much is it usually?

Sounds great now.
I can't remember the exact price as I had one of those stereo Nude mics re ribboned at the same time (the original ribbons were sagging and sounded poopy). That mic now sounds great too.
The cost was reasonable as both mics are now contributing members of the microphone family, rather than dead weights.

Thanks for the reply Paul, that's good to know. I tested the mic and it is working so I think there is a dodgy solder joint on the junction box that caused my problem thankfully.

That's good news!
Mine was working and sounded sort of ok, in a lo fi way, but the ribbon had lost it's tension and corrugations.
It's sounds great now and is a go to on nasty, spiky guitars, squawky brass and hi hat. Strings are ok, but I prefer Beyer m160 for that. Sometimes rooms as well.

No, not the full suite but I usually find the back sounds better than the front. Less peaky.
