A very cheap AX-60

Postby rachelp » Wed Feb 13, 2008 7:38 pm

Hi,
there is a very cheap Akai AX-60 going on evilbay at the moment, but it is pickup
only for Melbourne residents.

I just thought I would mention it, because you do not see these going very
often and although it is apparently in excellent condition, it is only $500 which
I think is a pretty good price for a rather rare old synth.

Oh - here's the item ID: 280199972904

It's not mine, but I just thought I would pass it on - sorry if passing on
ebay info like this is not appreciated!

I have never even seen one of those, and I thought I had worked on everything. I have an Akai VX-600, I think that was the top of that series, I don't really use it, I just keep it because it is a really compact MIDI controller. It is 6 voice analog, Akai's answer to the Oberheim Expander. I think I will sell it soon, there are too many other interesting items about at the moment.

Did the Roland trifecta this week - fixed a Jupiter-4, a Jupiter-6 and just finishing a Jupiter-8 tonight.

Always happy for Ebay heads-up alerts :- ).

If you ever decide to sell the VX-600, please let me know - I am interested, because
I don't have an Akai and there's something about the VX that interests me!

Please don't be in a rush though - I have no money :/
