Neve BA284 card

From what I can gather, this card simply consists of three separate amplifier sections, 2 of which are identical (the signal for one goes goes in at pin C and exits at pin E, the other is pin K in, pin M out, pins D and L are 24V and pins A and H are 0V).

Anyone happen to know what the fixed gain on these identical amps is? They form part of the 1073 eq section.

From what I could gather, the BA284 is a triple amplifier with an input stage (for the mic pre) and two identical amp stages for the EQ. As Neve used various cards on various modules, the gain was usually adjustable depending on what function the card was serving.

I just checked my manual and it states this about the BA284

'The gain of the input amplifier may be changed by the connection of a resistor between contacts T and V which decouples R10 more effectively, thereby increasing the gain of the amplifier. Gain is increased in 5db steps according to the following table:"

23db 350ohms
28db 120ohms
33db 56ohms
38db 27ohms
43db 15ohms
48db 8.2ohms

The other two amps are set at 18db through a resistor and cap (C5 and R11) to boost the signal loss in the EQ sections.
