Plug Alert....
The "To Be Released" Mac operating system "Snow Leopard" includes a technology called "OpenCL" which will offload calculations to the Graphics card.

the voltera kernel convolution plugins are said to be made to use video cards to run their hardware plugin emulations as well..
i have no clue if this is for real..so there may be a use for f@#$ off video card processing, even for us audio guys :)

A quick google tells me that http://www.acusticaudio.net/ nebula plugin can use CUDA, so many people must be excited about it that their site is down!

They do have some ok sounding emulations but.................. Anyway probably one of the most interesting plugin developers, now we just need the power to run 50 instances of it.
