Tape machine - sticky rollers

Yep, like I said, the rollers are fine & regularly cleaned. Anything that gets on them is more due to the amount of ampex tapes run on this machine (the 1/4" JH 110). It's no biggy. The tape guides cop it, of course, hence the mod'd Otari for 1 7/8 to 15 ips & fully variable tension.

My point simply being, again, that rollers do need to be pourous to some degree and, hence, can absorb tape gunk over time & are worth cleaning post-sessions.
