we had two of those optr0 comps at festival
one of the ex employees got as a pert of his pay out , but would sell them to me at the right price :(

when he did sell them he sold them on ebay , but they turnedout to busted to the unhappy buyer (jim..?)
so there are at least two optros doing the circuit until somebody figures out how to get them running properly

i tried to calibrate them once back in the day .. did not go well :(

I bet you that Optro smokes most compressors made in the last 30 years.
And - the velocity mic on snare and drums!!! - Man o man - you are in for so much future fun!

On a snare!!?? They are ribbons, surely they couldn't handle the spl. I'm sure they will work a treat for a center "drum" mic, or anything room related. But yes future fun is on the cards.

Its a velocity mic - like the RCA velocity mic is amazing on snare
