OK Own Up, Who broke the 1073 thread.
How many times have I told you kids not not bring the B@hr#%&ers inside.
Wait till your father gets home, then you are going to get it. Go to your room, and don't come out until I say so.

Well, it was this guy, he pulled up beside me in a white van and asked if I wanted to buy some Neve preamps cheap. They seemed to be a bargain, but when I just tried to put them into the thread, it just, like, broke!
(I actually had a neighbour proudly showing me his Linear Phase 8812 speakers bought out of the back of a van, he "only" paid $500 and they're worth over $2K!!! Call me soft, but I didn't enlighten him).

yeah it was me , i was trying to correct my spelling in the admin mode and the computer spat the dummy.
mark has sent my to the corner and told me to sit on my hands.
Mark graduated sydney uni today with a masters in acoustics or whatever its called,
he came to work wearing my suit and looked for all the world like he owned the place !
and i had to own up to being the computer meddling fool
it amazing what a pricey suit can do !

Because I am an insomniac and work nasty hours. I catch the american nbc today, they did this thing on lack of sleep and mentioned that humans will wake up for sounds they hear below 40db and above 90 or 100 db............. I was shocked to find sound below 40 db could wake up people consistently.......now I am tending to beleive it I wake up for loud noise, and quiet noise, but not average noise..........

Cheers lads, there's noting like a few letters after your name to make you feel, well, exactly the same really. M.Des.Sci for those playing at home.
As to the question about waking up to certain sounds and not others, that's more in the psycho-acoustic field, whereas I studied practical acoustics (in the Architecture faculty). But I'm more than willing to make something up in response, or at least have a guess.
