Anyone else catch Cohen last night at acer?
I was trying to figure out what mic he was using...
It was black with a flat top cage. Possibly AKG.
Not that I think that his incredible sound was due to the mic alone, just curious.

It's a Nuemann live condenser: http://www.factorysound.com/section/cat ... s105mtblk/ At least, I'm fairly certain it is.
The "live in London" DVD has some close-ups of it, if you have seen it. (if not, get it - same concert as last year, which is probably same as this year's?) I was blown away by his shows last year, incredible in all regards. Webb sisters? Whoah.

Hi Ryan
I was at the Tuesday night show - most enjoyable.
I am pretty sure his mic was a Neumann KMS-105.

Thanks Ben. Procedure was textbook. Just a lot of radiation related sickness afterwards. I'm only allowed to come home today, a week later. Been sleeping at a friend's house so as not to affect the wife and kids.
I almost didn't go 'cos i was feeling rather average but I realised that Mr Cohen is 76 years old. He may not be back this way again, so I forced myself to go. Very glad I did. It was superb.

Leonard's drummer played with brushes for the majority of the show. If ever there was an example of discipline and sensitivity to the music then Leonard's band were it.
Leonard's voice sounded superb through the (I think it was a Kudo) PA system. Acer arena has never sounded so good IMO.

I was at last nights Melbourne show, excellent music, shame that a $200 ticket had me nearly all the way up the back.
Lighting was good too, more shows should consider simplicity.
Oh, and thanking the crew by name was nice.

Thanks y'all :0)
Shame it's phantom powered, my busking rig is lacking that feature :0(
I keep hearing good things about the rode M1 (I think that's the name)
Omg, I just got blocked coz my message had too many smilies. Ok, I guess i'm not allowed to express complex emotions ;0) I don't understand why... Page load times? The woodgrain textures take aaaaages to load. Pretty though. Man, it was hot today & there was an accident on Parramatta rd just before the M4. Hmmmmm, little OT, sorry.

Singer in my band has an M1 and loves it. A few guys have brought them in at the pub and they sound pretty good to me (a self confessed cloth eared git)

No comment on the mic, but I had the pleasure of seeing Leonard recently.
Awesome.
