SPAM & More SPAM

I am getting so much spam lately, from getting a big dick, to getting my big dick staying up, to investing my big dick. Where is it coming from, is it from sites I go to (I don't go to porn sites honest). Do you think it maybe "myspace" or "eBay"sites. It's come to a point where I need to get a new email address, I've got Nortons virus, spam, system check......i'm thinking it could be them just so they can prove that the spam folder can get filled up using their program...but stuff still gets in my inbox.
DO I need to get a new email address?

You can get spam if you give a site your email address (as a login for example). They they add your address to the database and give/sell that database of email addresses to others and the cycle continues. Although you submitted your email to this forum, it isn't publically available/accesable.

The other way they get your email is if it's written somewhere on a website as text. There are email harvester programs that just go to every site they can find and look for email addresses, and add them to their database. So if you've recently posted your emial on your website, you will eventually get an increase in spam.

Most spam filters don't work 100%. You cannot trust that the emails they mark as spam aren't legit. Their filters don't work because spammers are smart. Every new spam email i get is from a) a different name, b) has a different subject, c) has diferent content (or scrambles or scatters their content but it's still readable), and d) is from a different IP address.

So you can't block their IP, sender name, message title, or content. So how are you going to block the spam?

A new address will help, for now.

I find a well configured server-wide spamassassin installation can be very effective. Mine filters more then 99% of the spam I get (on the order of 100 a day). I recently set it to just delete all spam that scores 8 or more (on its arbitary scale where 5 is considered spam) and so now I only have about a dozen a week hit my spam folder, so it's easy to check to see any false positives.
