Tunecore Sucks

Hey All,

As you would know, I have never ever come on here with anything bad to about any company, but I'm banging my head against the wall here, and I don't want any of you to deal with what I am going through.

I have had an amazingly bad experience with Tunecore.

Two Issues;

1. 3 of the tracks in an album that we uploaded appear incorrectly named on the iTunes Music store.
I literally have months worth of email correspondence from Tunecore support promising to fix, and explaining that they are just really busy. MONTHS, and the track names are still wrong.

2. A Music Video that we uploaded, that passed all their QC requirements, and was reported as being uploaded to iTunes successfully, is stuck on a still frame for the last 3 minutes of the video. Once again, this is after passing the Tunecore QC process. I gone back, and confirmed that the video file sent was correct.

It's doing my head in.

I've actually heard that Tunecore searches the web for negative comments in forums, it will be interesting to see if they appear here to reply...

Sadly, much of the business of selling music has become lowest common denominator.
Especially at the indie to mid-sized band level, if there are slim or no profits, the retailers have to cut corners.
I'm not surprised some of the newer music business sites are incompetent. We're all competing with illegally free, and as such I think the current strategy is to throw as much low cost content at the wall and hope some of it sticks. This means there is no QC of the content, and no management of the way it's thrown at the wall.
Good music and honest people get lumped in with the garbage.
