or another thought... the lounge/ office here at gigpiglet?
we do events/ shows/ art exhibitions/ live broadcasts/ all kinds of things from here
its 120sqm (approx) 9 foot ceilings, tiled floor space..
has some "ambient" noises at certain times of the day cause its now soundproofed as part of the studio.
but having said that its very pretty private/ quiet (especially if you pick the time)
have used it for reverb on a bunch of the recordings in the studio (strings on jack cartys record for instance)
drop me an email if you want to talk further

Re: Acoustic Spaces.
How about here:
The Lounge is held on Sundays at 5:30 pm at William Street Studios, 3 William St Fairlight. It is a beautiful old building (Manly Baptist Church), that is now also used as an art gallery, music venue and community space.
I am not sure about how quiet it is from external noises, but I am pretty sure they will charge you close to nothing!!!

The guy running the show is called Michael Frost. Nice guy.
