Re: Daryl cotton
Sad loss and way too young. My band opened for Darryl in his Cotton, Burns and Morris shows in Adelaide some years ago and he was a very approachable and friendly guy.

Re: Daryl cotton
I saw Russell and Brian at the Norwood Hotel in SA, recently, doing a show together. Great show and obviously still great mates, a pity there are a couple from that photo that have left us now.

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic but it's driving me nuts.Who is the bloke next to Billy Thorpe in the "spunky" T shirt - I know his face from Countdown a long time ago, I just can't place the name.... Ray someone??

Was it Ray Burgess and Mike Mead on Flashez? Think it pre-dates countdown in my old memory ;-)

Re: Daryl cotton
I went to a tribute night here in sydney for daryl last night .. it was kinda poorly attended
but heart felt by a select few in the room ..
I reckon there is a point where being an old rocker isnt as cool as being a young rocker
but the old rockers can certainly still sing !

Saw an old Spicks and Specks ep with all the guys in the photo doing a song. They called them the Happy Hour Club, when they were all living in L.A. at the same time. Rick Springfield even still had an Aussie accent..
