Aussie bass amp makers.

Anyone know if there are companies in Sydney..or Australia...that make bass amps...?? tube or solid state....but quaaality...??

(Ashton and Meh-ringer dont count) :P

Big thumbs up to Tim at labsystems, He is the only guy in victoria I get to work on all my guitar amps....... I was put onto him by a regualr visitor to this forum.

His work is amazing,

I have a labsystems SS600 and it is unbelievable. It's probably the best sounding amp I've ever used. I run it through a Labs 400w 4x10 and a home-made 300w 15" (based fairly tightly on labsystems specs) and it's by far too much bass for any club/pub in Sydney.

The sound is fantastic...

yes Labsystems make some nice stuff.. we have an old Lab VP400 Bass Amplifier and a brand new 6x10" cabinet in our hire stock and it sounds great! another band I work for has the 4x10" cabinet and VS600 amp. Tim is a very knowledgable guy and is our "go to" repair guy for amps (as SimonB mentioned!) and always looks after us and goes the extra mile when repairing or modding stuff for us.
