100% with you there - cats are the greatest scourge to our native wildlife after humans. And unrestrained dogs are a real pita too.

But on topic - do you play instruments Myles? I used to get some exotic little percussion item (from my Mum for birthday present) - these wonderful little things hang on my percussion rack so I think of her whenever I play them or hear them on a recording.

My Mrs suggested a piece of art to hang on your studio wall e.g. something by an artist that you admire...

Probably right that a mic is more practical.

.....well there is a few items of interest for the iffer's here. Apparently the studio is in Melton. It troubles me a bit that there are no closeup pics of the items for sale. Anyone know this seller?

P.S. Actually, simonstav might know, as that pic is on his FB page.

I got a small inheritance around 18 months ago. I considered buying a German mic but decided it would probably just be wasted, I don't do much recording and probably none that would justify a $3000 mic over a $300 mic.

I bought new (to me) FOH rig and a new desk (thanks Gareth). For me it was $15k well spent (even if I still haven't actually used the desk, the perils of working in a venue you have no control over)

I actually have a great idea for spending 2k (and having a bit left over).
An item in the studio that most often people overlook (my self included, until now) and that is very important. A good chair to work in!! (unless you've got one already, of course)
An HM Aeron is on my shortlist.

"I have a Labrador. A Neumann would have been cheaper"

You should call him U47 - seriously though, no mic's going to love you (or anyone and everyone) like a Lab!

Cheers, Ross
