Peluso CEMC6 v's KM184

Postby HA_DA_JA » Mon Jul 23, 2007 10:16 am

I was just looking at upgrading my drum overhead mics (cheap pair from Bock drum Mic kit) and could not decide between these two mics. There is a big difference in price between the two and buying 2 of them is no small matter in a small home studio that has yet to make a cent from my investment (unless you can measure 100% personal satisfaction in monetary terms of time spent doing what you love).
I have heard that the KM184's are practically standard for O/H's and accoutic instrument mic'ing, but has anyone used the Peluso CEMC6 pairs for recording?
Thanks
Dale

I've been very happy with Oktava MC 012's, and know of a few others happy with them too.
