Where to get good quality DB-25 ends?

Postby a.beck » Thu Jun 11, 2015 11:12 pm

Hey folks, as per title, I'm looking for some non-crappy DB-25 ends to attach to a multicore, and the $3 jobbies on ebay aren't super confidence-inspiring. Anyone know where I can get some like the ones that come on the Avid cables?

Thanks.

I've never had any dramas with the ones from Jaycar.

we got a good price/ supply from factory sounds in melb
they just chuck em in the post
metal shells (which is what i want - i hate the plasitic shell ones)

when you order remember there are two parts, the shell and the pins, and you obviously need both.

I have used the ones available from Jaycar a bunch. They work great for me!

The DB25 pins are $1.95 each. The metal hoods are $6.95 each.

+1 for factory for me. They're the amphenol brand and have hex key bolts that are threaded rather than fiddling around with a bloody miniature nut and washer!

Is this:
http://factorysound.com/t/categories/co ... s/multipin
the place?

I can't find any DB25s on that site. Is there another Factory Sound?

That's the place. Not everything they sell is on the site.
I get them from Radio Parts. Plastic hoods worked for me on some install, plug-and-forget stuff.
