welcome aboard all the same saggsy, I do have the rule no real name no posting ,
If your shy or famous or shy and famous just your first name is fine ..plenty of us just use that
nick names are fine if your want to be addressed as such as well
but I like the same rules for everybody
so real name is the protocol at least in the signature around here
we talk like we know each other , which seems to work out
lots of people dont post but they are on the forum , if I ever posted a list ( which i assure all i would never do )
you would be astounded at who is reading our ramblings
truly astounded

Re: Why we wont be writing for audiotechnology anymore
AT and Tape Op have been my last connection to 'studio' while [child] took over our entire world.
And then I thought 'oh AT, why so so'. So I came here for the down-low, yo (excuse me) and only then did I find all this had happened?
Dear me, I shouldn't have been away from here for so long!

Re: Why we wont be writing for audiotechnology anymore
Did anybody read the beringer article in that last issue ...?
deary deary me
it should have been prefaced with once a year beringer treat all the press to a 5 star holiday in china to see their new stuff and so off we all went ... if your interested here is our report ..
I note with interest how different this years advertorial reads to some other attempts over the years to cover the same annual story ..

I haven't even looked at it since the Great Schism of 2012.

I never renewed my subscription since the above mentioned schism. I did receive a free copy about 6-7 months ago and found the style of writing by most articles quite was annoying to read. And the last page article was very "look at me, look at me". I found it very tiresome.

Re: Why we wont be writing for audiotechnology anymore
well for some curious reason they have started arriving at the door in my new place for free ..?
which is ironic because I could never seem to get that to happen reliably in the past 10 years
at the old place
deary deary me .. I bet I magically fall off the list again !

I've noticed their style has become way more advertisement than informative since the troubles. Makes for a pretty boring read! Only a few good pages in the whole magazine these days.
