Look at the great mix rooms of the 60's,70's and even the 80's, abbey road anyone...

Not much if any in room design, bass traps, deadening etc...

They simply knew the rooms extremely well...

It's a simplistic point I'm making but a valued one IMHO.

you guys are awesome

Peter, the bass response is very consistent around the room. There's a few spots where ~30Hz makes itself a little more obvious but for the most part it's an extremely consistent room. That's one thing that every has said, and the first thing I noticed, was how clear and articulate the midrange all the way to the top presents itself. So I'm extremely happy in that regard. I bet the density of the bass traps is unsuitable for these speakers, and the wall density is simply not there. I took measurements of the room and just need to get to a scanner so I can send it to you. But by all means only if it's no trouble then please do take a look at the numbers and let me know what you think, but at the end of the day the situation is pretty clear to me. Denser walls, more suitable bass traps if needed, subs :) there is a cloud up top, but what it consists of I'm not sure at this stage

Rick, thankfully I think it's the first one.
So I'll get on it. I agree with everything you've said

Similarly Mark, I agree again, but the difference for me is I really aim to be doing a lot more modern music where sub energy is exploited a little more than stuff from the 70s, our session coming up by all means we will have no problem, but having that electronic mix session here the other day outlined the immediate importance of getting the bottom bottom end accurate in this room. For my enjoyment and use, but also potential top quality clients
