I was thinking of building a kit Micro 1290 (NV500) and already have a Dual 99V.
Maybe the API was good on guitars as well??

thoughts?

I built a micro 1290 a while back and miss it in heavy guitar tones. Just wondering if the API or TG are more suitable.

David if you live in Sydney you can come over and have a listen. I think I will get someone over soon and maybe we can lay some tracks down doing EG.
Ok boys we need to revisit the session again sooner than March...... BBQ is on again, who's in?
This time EG only.

In Melbourne unfortunalty (now added to my ID)

I did once have a JLM 1290 and currently have a 99v but the guitar tracks I did on the 1290 were mic'd very differently so even though the guitar tones on the 1290 were great i didn't like it for much else so sold it .

I am considdering building another 1290 just because I miss the guitar tone but I here so many good reports regarding the TG my head is spinning with possibilities.

Anyone want to buy a coupple of Manley channels??

this buissiness can send you crazy.

I think we may have to do the next session after Christmas, I just had a reality check, it's only about 6 weeks away.

Ha ha ha...but seriously Nic, How about christmas day? Don't the joys of christmas wear off around midday or earlier? about the time you start getting urges to plug something in :)
