SDC's, LDC's?

Hello could someone inform me in reference to mics what SDC and LDC and any other DC's are refering to when talking about mics?
It is probably quite obvious but I see it all the time and cant put it together.

Yep, that's my mistake in typing..........thinking one word, typing another...........although the end meaning is much the same.
Think I'd better stick to rendering the walls in the studio :-))

Also on average:
SDC ~= 1-1.5cm
LDC ~= 1" (1 Inch or 2.5cm)
