I read somewhere about 2 months ago that big name artists who are touring will be selling thier own tickets on ebay so scalpers don't get to buy all the tickets and the bands can make more money via auction, sounds like bands are scalping thier own tickets.
I hope this is not the case but it sure sounds that way.

You know, for some reason I wouldn't mind that nearly as much - at least the money goes to the creatives who put sweat and blood on the line to actually make and perform the music, rather than some internet junkie opportunist looking for a windfall. If you can sell a ticket to your concert for $10K, good luck to you.

Who would pay $250k? I mean really, if you do you deserve to be scalped. Personally, if I had that much cash to spend on tickets I would just book the band to play in my backyard and invite my mates around for a bbq.

don't kid yourself. Rage don't care. They get an up front guarantee from the promoter before they even arrive here. Unless there's a new album coming then they're just doing it for the money. Good on them I say. Make hay while the punters are dumb enough to fork out $10k for a pair of GA tickets. Just like the tool at the first U2 show who shelled out $4k for a pair of tix and 2 hours later they annouce a 2nd show.
