Has anyone else had trouble getting into The Lab for the past few days? I just get a "Board Unavailable" message.

It's just not you.Been two days since I have been able to get onto the site as well.

Prodigy's main site is OK so it's only the forums that are down. I'll shoot a couple of emails out to people who may know what's going on and see if we get an answer.

at least its not just me.

It's not a definitive answer but I just received the following from Jakob Erland (Gyraf)...........:

It's back up this morning.

Ethan had mentioned he was going to do some upgrades on the board, but it was funny to see the nerd panic spreading throughout other forums on the web. :)

Ethan's comments were fine for people who "live" at The Lab but those of us who only visit occasionally obviously had no idea what was going on. There was also a reasonably justifiable concern amongst some people that the recent behaviour of one of the original members may have triggered an implosion.

Its a timely reminder of the overhead borne by those who run forums - so again a big thank to Rick and Mark for their time and effort. Cheers guys.

Ausrock, didn't mean any offence, was including myself in the nerd category meaning people into DIY. It was interesting to see how many people on other boards go to the lab as well. Posts asking about it popped up on all the audio forums I visit. Don't know anything about the wierd behaviour thing, but like someone at the lab was saying it would be a good thing to have that whole forum offline somehwere cause it would be a big loss if anthing went pear shaped.

No real offence taken :-)

The growth of those forums has been amazing. I was a regular at the old RecOrg Tech Talk forum and when it was taken down, happened to be amongst the handful of people emailing each other as Ethan got prodigy up and running. At the end of the first day there were about 30 of us registered and by the second day we had sent the word around and that number was up to approx., 200, since then, for better or worse, it has gone ballistic.
