hey, did anyone record the abbey road session a couple of weeks ago, featuring the kooks, wynton marsalis & muse?
i'd happily buy the DVD but it doesn't look like there is one, i would've thought they'd be all over the merch but it doesn't appear so.
cheers, wez

I'm pretty sure I have it. I recorded all of them when they were on Max last year.
Would LOVE to buy a box set!!!!
Let me know how you want it.... I can just whack it on a data dvd if you like.

hey dave, i'll PM you shortly...
the kooks are rockin' my world right now. they were great on abbey rd, then i bought the cd... only to find it overcompressed to the point of pumping and even distortion at times. not good. i love the spirit of the band and the vibe of the album, the youthful exuberance reminds me why i got into this whole thing 25 years ago. so i really want to hear that beautiful live abbey road sound again, because i'm not sure how many times i can listen to the CD, as much as i love it.
wynton marsalis was on the same episode, now his CD sounds good (although i don't understand the vocal sound at all), but still the abbey rd gig blows it away really.
the third band was muse but i haven't quite worked that out yet.
i was chatting with a high profile engineer the other day about how much i was just loving music at the moment. he said he'd realised that he actually didn't really like music all that much. i put it down to him going through one of those phases we all go through... but still, it was a bit of a revelation, and i've been thinking about it since.
anyways...

see I'm not really that keen on The Kooks (although the Abber Rd session was great) but REALLY into Muse.... I'm glad we're all different! Wouldn't it be a bland old world if everyone liked the same stuff!
