Hi Gang,

Just wondering if anyone has used the API 200 series mic pres and comps? How do they compare to the 500 series?

I know I wont be able to swap them out with other pres like you can with the 500 series but I am just interested in getting a few more channels for the money.

Cheers

Jason

Not sure. I was on the legacy website and notice you can get a 4 or 12 slot rack to mount these pres and comps in. Thought it might be a good way of getting my hands on some nice pres without throwing out as much money.

I have a pair of API 7600s' and they come with the 212L mic pre. It's an excellent pre and works on most sources. Its the same pre thats in the Legacy console. It still has the 2520 opamp. The only problem is that it's it's not as versatile in the racking as the 500 series. You must use the API racking system as no other manufacturers that I know of use this system.

Cheers
