Has anyone come across an acoustic guitar emulator plugin in their travels? A few companies make hardware versions, Boss et al, I think some new Marshalls even have one as an add-on to the clean channel. I've never seen a software version of these. I think it could be handy to see how an acoustic part would sound when demoing tracks.

Native Instruments will probably make an addition to Guitar Rig software...i imagine...

I don't know if it fits what you're after but the Line 6 Variax guitar can simulate a bunch of different things.

Nah, I want to be able to chuck it over already recorded clean guitar parts.

I think a Variax would be a handy thing too, though I've never knowingly heard one.

The Edge used one live on the Vertigo tour. You can see it on the DVD.... sparkly guitar with the vertigo circle on it.

How about re-amping (check the Proharmonic website) thru a BOSS AC-1 Acoustic Simulator or use a POD XT??
The acoustic sims in the POD XT Pro were good - I wish I still had my XTPro..

I'm really hoping to find a plugin that does it, if I have to re-amp I might as well just re-record with an acoustic.

Not a recomendation - as i haven't actually used any of these... but you may want to check out...

The Boss AC3 - stomp box.
Check out the Bozilizer also... http://www.ijdata.com/products.html

You may be able to work out something youself, by using an electric guitar strum as the "source" for a convolution reverb convolver,
with an acoustic strum as the "result" but you would want to make sure the two strums are as close as you possibly can !!!
