Gday guys,

just finished off a track for some folks i know, Punjabi folk female singer and a Carnatic Male vocalist....did an Indian meets electronica track with em.

Would like to get some feedback on my mix, before i put the cap on it....i tried uploading it onto the rec project forum, but it wouldnt let me upload it (too big)

I slammed it pretty hard with the L2...(yuck). But the guys were whinging about it being quiet..and i dont have an alternative at the moment.

If you're thingy about mp3 you should look at some of the lossless format for compression. wavpack is excellent, it allows a file to be split in two parts, one of the parts is a lossy format, like mp3. If you have both parts it is completely lossless.

Hey Jamil, maybe the kick is a little too prominent in relation to the rest of the tracks, also I think the vox could be a touch louder ane brighter, just a bit, also all the instrument which come in in the middle could be dropped back a touch.

Though sounds good.

yo heath, that instrument would be the violin...

i listened to it sometimes and thought it was loud, and other times, and thought it was fine....BUT, ill turn it down now, for sure....agree with the vox too :)

I had a quick listen on headphone thru PT and to me it sounds pretty good..
I'd make the bass/kick drum have a little more low end rumble - give it that worldly ground-shaking experience.
The violin is a little low in the mix as Heath mentioned - maybe the male vox could come up a little as well.
The female vox is ok - maybe some thickening with a harmony or double/triple tracking (Melodyne/Autotune for a quick fix) just to thicken it up and sit right behind the main female vox.
Just my suggestions mate - otherwise, nice work..
