Mark/Phil,
Why is there not a function to delete a post that you create?
I see many forums that allow you to delete a post that you create or edit e.g a double post..
We dont have that function on TR.. can we get it??

hey tim we locked it out and it gets done as we see it at our end , the main reason was security
that function also opens us up to hackers , russian ladies and sell through posts

Yeah, no worries Rick - just wanted to delete some messy posts..

The system is designed so that you cannot delete a post that someone else has replied to. The comments that follow your post may seem odd if they're referencing what you said and it's not there. Also, it stops people from posting things that they might regret knowing in their minds that they can delete if need by. In my view it makes you stick to your opinion and own what you write. Otherwise people would write something, perhaps face some criticism and then delete their post and the whole thread makes no sense. The same idea applies to editing.
You can edit your post as long as no one has yet replied to it.
