Hi guys
You don't have to spend big money on good audio equipment to achieve professional results. Ok, it would be great to have a spare $100k lying around, buy the best of all the big name items and employ an audio guru to consult for you. So I was thinking maybe we should start a post on a "cheap list" on audio solution to help others improve their project studio.
Buying used equipment is a good but sometimes a expensive solution, so a list of things to look for when making your purchase would be a good thing, especially eBay.
Buying on Turtle has worked out for me what about you guys, any problem encountered ?
Here's my list so far.
[u]ROOM TREATMENT
1.Curtains and drapes over windows and sections of walls work well. I found some great deals at a "Spotlight" outlet on a special. The material had a light latex backing on it, look cool as well.
2. Sheets of thin plywood with various size holes drilled, curved and insolation material backing at "Bunnings".
[u]AUDIO EQUIPMENT
1. Small active speakers, Fostex PM 0.5 $499, maybe the Fostex PM 1. on special at the moment at $629 (saw them at Intermusic for that price so could be else where as well). The Fostex range of speakers are very good and well priced.
Anyway add to the list fellas. Some pics as well and links to E sites would be nice
