As an occasional lurker on these forums and with a modest interest in vintage broadcast gear, I just wonder if anyone has any info inc circuits manuals etc for the following?

I'm putting together a very basic 1960s style broadcast suite mainly using ex ABC boatanchors. The prime objective is to record my kids and play back / transfer my mainly classically inspired collection of 78s and Lps. See langleycello on youtube. If my kids end up being interested, I'd love to explore tactile radio production techniques in the style of yore, and produce homebrew radio dramas. Thats my pipe dream! Also ham and podast ambitions are brewing. Meanwhile I am familiarising with 600ohm patching and overengineered old equipment. Some of it is truely remarkable. Especially the Trimax stuff.

I am always gaining inspiration from the journey of others and enjoy this forum in particular.

I have some optro gear that's similar, and might be able to help with schematics.

Let me know how you get on - I'm restoring 2 of those Astor B2 distribution amps into preamps as we speak. They came to the ABC via the old recording studio and originally the design is from RCA (or so I understand).

The only thing I've found out so far is that they need juice - 47V or so - to power them up. None of that 37V rubbish!

8 millifarads ! - switch the thing off at the wall and it would still be ticking 5 minutes later.
