so there are drum programs, guitar programs, f@#$ loads of piano samples.......
what are people using for bass?
even point out the obvious.... if anyone asks I went to school in dubbo, things are a little slow there

Some of the EastWest "Play" instruments are very powerful, I use the bass and guitar articulations in "Ministry of Rock", and I am thinking of getting "Fab Four" next time Eastwest have one of their sales or 2 for 1 offers, which happen very regularly if you subscribe to their newsletter. Take a look at the Ministry of Rock demo videos on their site to see how the bass instruments work.

umm, there's a 6.5 GB VST, called Hardcore Bass XP.
heaps of sick basses, recorded through Ampeg's at volume 11..
pretty much the go to :)

Check out Kip McGinnis at Bardstown Audio. He makes a sample library of Fender Basses in 24 bit 96k Giga 3&4, EXS24, Structure, Kontakt and HALion formats. I have his Bosendorfer sample set and it is superb.

Or send me your session and I can put down the track, either double bass or electric bass and send it back :-) Nothing like the real thing, i'm sure there's other bassist's in your area who are adapt playing many styles too. Sorry just thought i'd put it out there for live muso's.

Craig Calhoun, heh, now if only he would release himself as a vsti. Could have a cool user interface too with a big smiley face on your computer that gets bigger the harder and faster it plays. Great idea or what?
Well he did do some bass on an album for 1 of my friends, sounded awesome.
Trilogy sounds pretty awesome though.
