TL Audio prices - whats going on

I just got an email with 40% off all TL audio products. I did a quick check and another retailer was clearing them off at 30% on most T Audio Stuff.
ANyone had any experience with the VP1 pre/comp/eq unit??
I know my Ivory series comp didnt get used much and I sold that off but that was the cheaper line of TLA gear.

I think there's lot's better gear out there for way cheaper, or much much better gear for a little bit more, TL Audio make ok stuff but nothing really great I've heard. I guess the suppliers must be dropping them and getting in more popular stuff.

They may also be clearing stock for new models. We've got over 50% off on some units for just that reason. The extra volume sold makes up for the discount.
The VP1 is a very different fish from the Ivory and other 'standard' TLA gear: much classier sound.
