TRAVELLING SOUND ENGINEER...SHOW ME YOUR STUDIO!

Postby hughbob » Wed Mar 11, 2009 3:10 am

G'day Turtlerockers.

I'm heading to Melbourne(30/3 to 4/4) and Sydney(4/4 to 9/4) for a little holiday and am looking to check out some studios and hopefully assist on some recording sessions. I'm keen to see how things are done in a larger professional studio.

I run my own recording studio called "Fur Real Studio" in Yallingup, West Oz. It's a beautiful spot down here and i'd be happy to return any favours and show you around(and take you surfing if you're into that)

A little about me: i'm 30 years old, professional live/studio sound engineer and musician, love to surf, open minded musically, blah blah...

Drop me a line if you're interested.

Cheers, Hugh.

Yallingup.... God's country. I wish I bought a block of land down there back in the 1990's.

Funny you should say that.
25 acres was still affordable in the late 90's.
I cycled from Albany to Perth one year and from Esperance to Perth another year and always checked out the real estate windows in Margaret River and Bussleton.
One of my fave parts of Australia.

Yep Yallingup is an incredible area. I love it down here. There are quite a few musicians in the area too. Lot's of surfer/musos from all over the world come for the summer. The real estate value is going down at the moment, great news for all you cashed up studio types.
