What do you do with gear like this that you have bought since new for over $2500 and now is practically worthless.
I have 2 of these VS880 expanded recorders.
I even have 3 x Roland S770 samplers which were there flagship models they are virtually obsolete?
It seems a waste of them just sitting here. Any suggestions what to do with them?

boat anchor.
I know, it's not funny, I own more than a few boat anchors as well, i think we just have to live with it.
One day a DX 7 will be worth something again.

There are plenty of CD's out there with sample libraries for the S770, they are a great sounding sampler, they sound better than any plug in and don't have latency, so if it were mine I would get a CD ROM drive, rack it up with the sampler and start buying a CD sample library for it. So much more rewarding to play than VSTi's.

Yeah, I still use my S750.
You could sell it on Ebay. There's a market for these older, great sounding samplers. It wont sell for a lot though I admit.
DX7's are quite hot property actually.
There's an 80's revival you know.

Hang on to them until Dre or Timbaland uses one in a music video and then all those hip hop wannabe gangsta's will drive the value up on ebay.

Yep stick it in the wardrobe for 20 years and then sell on ebay for $15000. Or yeah doorstop or boat anchor.
