Fire Safety in Recording Studio

Hi guys,

long time lurker - been a while poster here .. great forum ... and AussSies are just so friendly :)) My.. is that a koala Bear ??


just wondering ... does anyone know what the OH&S or fire safety guidelines are for a Recording Studio (still ... yes Rick ... life goes on ... ) built in Fawkner Squash Center ??

and any precautions I ned to be aware of ?

It would be the same for any building, recording studio or not. Clearly marked exits, smoke detectors etc, etc. Did you not get this from council when submitting plans for DA approval?

Fire safety is not industry specific. All business's dwellings are subject to the same standard. You may be liable for damages if you don't have the necessary procedures.

you have to pay special attention to your airlocks , because they confuse the firedoor access standards

imagine the lights go out and you need to find your way out , everything matters when somebodies life is at stake

i would jump onto your local worksafe website and have a good reading session, there's a lot to consider when it comes to oh&s!!

Or better still, get an OH&S professional to come in and look over your studio and make recommendations - that's why they are in their jobs!
