OK it seems our wonderful overlord had done some serious damage to one of his Phalanges.

I suggest to make him feel better we post pictures of some of out own battle scars. Or stories of flesh wounds.

He damaged his flangers? I didn't think anyone used those anymore.

Oh ok I found the other thread, OUCH! I was thinking "not another boating accident".

I had my fingernail ripped of by a cocky one time. Learnt pretty quickly not too stick my fingers in a cockies cage, still won't and it was 32 years ago. My nan told me not to but would I listen? Noooo I had to find out for myself.

:)

This is a great thread. A few years ago I decided i'd take on a hand held blender. As it turns out, blenders are more superior than human flesh and my index finger now knows that.
I needed stitches but me being the aussie bloke i am (piss weak), decided bandaids were the way to go for a few months. A close call but i still have all my fingers.

Had ankle surgery end of 08 for an injury I incurred in February 08.

Playing basketball and landed on another guy's foot. Complete tear of one ligament on the outside of my foot, and crushed the ligament on the inside of my foot.

The inside injury grew scar tissue that grew into the ankle joint itself. They had to take to it with something that resembled a cheese-grater to remove the excess scar tissue and get me walking properly again.

All good now, but one hell of a scar!

Hope you're back to your full knob-tweaking best soon Rick, however bent you are.
