A friend just asked me this

Could you recommend any convolution reverb vst plug-in, which is
compatible with mac? SIR2 would be useful but it costs US$189. If you
know any complementary plug-in, please let me know.

Does anyone know of plugs that fit this criteria?

Cheers

Mark.

Freeverb3

There's heaps of shareware stuff around also (but not sure of the quality)

Logic Audio comes with Space Designer - I've just been trying out the free Bricasti impulses that Tunetown Pete and Walding mentioned in the other reverb thread. Bricasti has provided Logic presets for the impulses as part of the download - very cool.

I was gunna post re spacedesigner but saw he was asking for VST, so most likey not using Logic.
As for the Bricasti impulses, I have em on two projects at the moment and they have a "less metalic" sound to them than the ones i am used to that come bundled with Logic.
I recently recorded a school concert with a pair of the TNC 310 valve mics and i used the Bricasti impulse responses om the mix. I've put two up on myspace ( called Classical Recording_PLC) for any one who wants to hear how the mics sound in that aplication.

No EQ or Comp, Reverb Space Designer using Bricasti M7 Impulse Response: PO21 Vienna Hall.
