Got an email from Propellorhead software today. (I think I got reason when I bought pro tools years ago)

http://www.recordyou.com/

FREE beta software, man you gotta sign up just to watch their introduction video. funny. Well made in fact.

Interesting take on the DAW, but seriously who has the money now to shell out for new DAW software.

They did mention having modelled the SSL 9000 mixer for it's main mix section though if that piques anyone's interest...

[not affiliated in anyway...I wish I was affiliated ha ha]

This will certainly be a no brainer for the Reason faithful.

Just been reading a bit about it and discovered that it does not support any 3rd party plugin synths or FX. They do talk about why and claim it leads to better performance and stability. While this may be true I wont be giving up my current bunch of plugs in a hurry, esp after buying Komplete last month.

I did sign up for the demo and will try it out.

Cheers

As a long time Reason user, and Rebirth before that I was surprised to see their next product was another daw. I do wonder how many different ones we need. I was expecting something a bit more interesting as their next release.
