RIP Chris Blair

Postby Adam Dempsey » Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:14 pm

If you don't know him by name you've surely heard his work, having begun as a tape op for The Beatles...

"Abbey Road Studios deeply regrets the sad loss of Chris Blair this week. He was greatly respected by his colleagues and all those who worked with him. We will all miss him deeply".

He'd have been relatively young, wouldn't he? Mid-50's sort of. He was only a lad fresh out of school when nabbed by the ear and told "hey you, you're now Tape Op in Studio One"

... and within 10 years he was churning out a numble 1 single per month.

RIP
