Modifying AD Convertors.

hey guys...
just wondering...how "easy" or hard is it to replace A/D convertors in a piece of audio equipment?
i've recently bought a Rane SL3 box for DJing...and i was wondering if the above was a possibility, down the track.
Its not that important, was more simply a matter of interest! (as the artists ive heard using this system have sounded pretty good).

What's it actually for? Just seems like a totally unnecessary A/D-D/A step to me? Does it do something magical that DJ's have been totally unable to do before and needed to?

yeah, lets u DJ WAV/mp3s but still using 2 turntables and a mixer :-)

Ahh, an expensive replacement for the mini-jack to rca cable most guys run out of their laptop :)

the box ttranslates the timecode signal coming from 2 control vinyls into the direct place of ur vinyl in relation to the audio files on ur laptop...then spits out the audio in analog into your DJ mixer..
pretty nifty, been around for a while now.
