[quote="anguswoodhead"]As for the Logo, Bad news boys, it is here to stay. I agree it is bold, but these mics aren't just a job or business, they are my passion. The size of the badge reflects the maker, my grand ma calls me the instant crowd and my wife calls me her very own Nephilim (Biblical Giant).

I love the badge!!! big and bold, i think it'll help sell these mics. that and all the talk going around........(about how good they are).

I liked the T1 thru both the V72 and the Trimax.
The Trimax definately sounded way more open in the top-end to me.
Hi Angus
How does T1 stack up against your Wunder?

The Wunder is up at the Buderim Studio so I haven't had them side by side yet.
Look like having our first session next Sat up there so I will take my T1 up and do a little shoot out.
Do you reckon it sound similar to the Arabella.
My Arabella has the same capsule and valve as the T1, but to me it is bottom end deficient.

Sounds like you need a James nIC.
Hmmm, maybe.
Well I have the Jade and the Arabella now and fell they are similar, so I may need to sell the Jade.

Yes there are similarities between the Jade, Arabella and T1.
The James is a much different beast all together - very heavy in the low mids - quite dark.
The Mahalia is even darker - think original U67.
Decisions, decisions - fun isn't it.
Yeah but great mics.
Thanks Angus

Well I just got a James
Bottom end is OK - and there is definately a bump in the top end
after stacking a few BV's there was a need too de-ess quite a bit...
I want to put the Tribute against a Wagner before splashing out more $
Can anyone do a comparison?

Wunder CM7,
Beesneez T1,
Neumann U87i,
Beesneez James.
Is this the mic order of the recorded sample 1,2,3,4.
I like the samples 1 and 4 the best.

I'm not sure what you mean mate.
The vocalsits sang into the pop filter which is centered on all 4 mics.
All 4 mics were recorded at once thru the 4 x JLM Dual 99v pre's and tracked into Monkey Tools with me trying to get the levels as close as possible.
There were 8 different 'takes' all together - 2 per singer of 4 clips each as there were 4 mics.Aearth wrote:I like the samples 1 and 4 the best.

Yeah - me too.
On the day the band and everyone else in the room thought the same.
So what mic was used to record wave 1 and wave 4? you can PM me if you want.
Thanks
nIC
So... what mic do you think we ended up using on Kel's vocal?

anguswoodhead wrote:Answers - what mics were what in the shootout.
Mic 1 - Neumann U87i
Mic 2 - Wunder CM7
Mic 3 - Beesneez James
Mic 4 - Beesneez Tribute 1
We chose Mic 1 (U87i) to record Kel's vocals.
Off to India for 2 weeks - see you guys in a fortnight.
Peace.
Wow I liked mic 2 least of all and it's the most expensive.
