So are they a legitimate company that actually does mastering or a complete scam through and through? Did they get you to master some songs aswell and make out that it was them?

They are for real, they have a cracked copy of TC Master X3 and a pair of Fostex powered monitors.

Justice. Swift justice.

They claim to have mastered some pretty big acts. Basement Jaxx, Stanton Warriors... both huge names in dance music.

Maybe because I put as the header 'I want you master 3 albums' so they would read it......

Ahem, all I can say about my content is I wouldn't read it to my nephews and nieces :D

This is the second time in 24 hours that I've heard of this type of thing happening. John Scrip aka Massive Master at Homerecording.com found some "mastering" guy in the UK had apparently used his gear list ......... http://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=291545

A quote from the UK guys FAQ........"Q: Why are you so cheap?
A: We keep our overheads down by keeping your mastering sessions unattended. Through mail-order we are able to cut down our expenses, but without compromising the quality of your master. Any savings we make are passed onto you, our customer."

I got two replies from urbandubz@hotmail.co.uk, first one he said he wasn't aware of what I was talking about, second one was to say offending video had been removed.
Obviously someone has a mastering studio that looks TOO GOOD, that's the problem!

Glad it all worked out, and pretty quickly, Rick. (Not meaning to play sleuth while being a sloth on a quiet Sun arvo).
Yes, John Scrip's verbatim-copied gear list was removed, too, mostly via direct contact to the source, from which I got an email this morning "site removed".

thanks for you help again adam !
i just got an apologies of sorts from the guys who used our image for their promo

he said "it was not intentional !..
it was web designers fault etc etc "

i would hate to be dealing with them when they intentionally tried to commit fraud !

Well they got back to me and thought I was you Rick and I sent them an email saying I wasn't and gave them your email address and told them maybe it would be good to send an apology.

The emails are pretty funny and I can forward them to you if you'd like Rick.
