I just had 4 3405 modules racked by Barney and Gav at pickstone and I thought I'd post the pics here and show you guys what an awesome job they did!

Tracked a vocal this evening with a c414 (original brass c12 cap) and they sounded rich and lovely...

Wow! I really like the black curtain. Nice touch. Neves look good too.

well I know what I reckon is good and I keep my eyes peeled. Certainly not on the scale of rick but I try. And if anybody wants to tell me secret locations of old useless neve mixing desks, step right up!

Well it's time to eat humble pie. This is more for reference for anyone else racking this sort of project. In my desire to build a neat all in one box solution I overlooked the fact of the modules being a single ended gain stage with an unshielded output transformer. So even though the PSU transformer is toriodal there was an unusable amount of hum in channel 3 and 4. So now the PSU tranny has been removed all is good to go and now Myles can record hum free. So before you go drilling your rack check first to see if it is a problem. Lesson learnt. If only I had have looked around my studio and all Neve or Neve clones have the PSU tranny outside the preamp section.
