Hey on the weekend we had a little Neve shoot out - put together by Angus and hosted by Khesrow.
Some the contenders included:
Portico 5012, Chameleon Labs 7602 MK1, Neve 3415, Neve 33415, Amek 9098, Chandler LTD, Angus's Neve project, TNC ACMP73 & the Original Neve 1073.
The end result was nothing beats the original Neve 1073. Boy what a lot of files to upload.

Yes I was surprised by the Portico sound in that it sounded good but not really like a Neve but good in another way. With Silk on the Vocals really had that finished sound. I am looking forward to the Portico II channel strip that is coming out soon. Now that would be an interesting piece of gear even at the US$3250 RRP.
