Mixing Plugins

so in extending my mixing setup and my workflow I'm looking to add a few good plugins to the stable. I've got a rack of sweet analog but I do alot of fast turnaround mixing and alot of stuff that needs recallability so I thought I'd add a few really good quality EQ and Comp plugs to my rig. I'm running HD2 accel and at mostly 48k or 96k.

So what are peoples favourite/most used/best sounding/flexible blah blah blahs?

Anyone used the Flux plugins? I've used the demos and they sound very smooth and transparent.

Not too concerned with cost as long as the value is good.

Cytomic "The Glue"... floats my boat.

Also, PSP Audio but be careful which ones you buy as some have serious latency (Neon EQ is one)

And you just can't beat the guys at Stillwell... serious bang for buck.

Been looking over the stillwell site and those look pretty neat too. Do they work under a wrapper for PT?

doesn't protools HD have plugin latency compensation??

I thought that was just a problem with protools LE?

Another vote for the Stillwell plugs here, love the Vibe Eq and the Event Horizon limiter on drums.

Yep. Use the stillwell plugs in PT8 all the time. Great plugs

I love the Massey CT4, L2007 & Tape head plugs

UAD 4Kchannel Strip, Precision Limiter/Buss comp, LA2A, LA3A, 1176LN

PSP Mastercomp

Echoboy.

These are the plugs I use most often. The emulations don't sound like the originals but they still work well. I mix in the box so I try to get the best I can. Tracks plugs blow chunks thou!!!

Cheers. Jason

Yes. You will have to reload UAD software again after you scan otherwise they don't work.

+ 1 for Cytomic "The Glue" though i wouldn't call it transparent, it's a nice comp.
Sonalksis do some of my favorite eq plugs;
