Well, I would stick a mic in a beehive/wasp nest, then hit the nest with a bloody great lump of wood, and those angry buzzing buggers will sound something like a world cup stadium full of vuvuzelas. Gawd, the importers have already got them on the market here in Sydney (vuvuzelas, that is, not angry bees, but same thing/result anyway....) Sorry Jamil I can't help you more! Why not, *cough* record some of the world cup stadium ambiences off a broadcast, try and grab a bit where the presenters have shut their yaps for a bit and do some creative looping?

i have already created ambiences myself..which sound more hi quality than news.
however, the cool ensembles where they walk around 8 abreast and blow randoml..different story...also something i could clear wouold be good....funnily enough everyone hates the vuvuzela so much, i would find it funny to be sued if u sampled something off the news.

Hah, just noticed this too - a free vuvuzela filter plug-in for Logic (seriously):

http://www.vuvux.com/

quote: "VuvuX is a free Apple AudioUnit plug in that suppresses the noise created by the South African trumpet called "Vuvuzela" in realtime without affecting the audio commentary or the stadium atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy a noise-free World Cup 2010"

Maybe if you use Logic Jamil you could check this out and see what frequencies are being filtered etc, could help you create a synthesised version if need be.

would prefer a real recording, with other organic sounds if possible....

i've seen the logic and Waves plugins, already invented, which i personally find hilarious, also posted my question on Sluts....see if any post ppl have recordings!

Cheers steve :-)

buy a slab of vuvus yourself...how expensive can something that shitty be?

get a bunch of mates around and get the vuvu band together, play and record exactly what you need.

it'll almost make you cry
