Hi all...

My wife and I were interviewed on Triple M this week for Daffodil Day. It went to air today and the response has been pretty amazing. If you're able, please head over to

http://www.triplem.com.au/sydney/shows/ ... -9p1c.html

and follow the links to make a donation to the Cancer Council. If not for me, for Simon Leadley or Todd Hunter or Richard Priddle or any one of the guys in our industry that have fought or are fighting against this shitty disease.

Thanks guys.

The video was something I wanted to do for Rachel. It was not your 'normal' present but it was something I knew I could do well. The Triple M folk have been truly outstanding. Really supportive and enthusiastic. I can't praise them enough.

For anyone interested it was shot on a RED One camera with Zeiss lenses at full 4k resolution and then edited in 10 bit uncompressed HD.

Talk about setting the bar high for us non romantic ones.
At least I know who to go to now for some tips on the subject.
My Mum died of cancer 9 years ago last week I still think of her often.
We found out we were pregnant with our first and only child the day she died.
I know she is in a better place.
Life is about connections make each day count towards healthy happy relationships.
Thanks for the video.

Never mind you, Kris! Will Rachel ever recover from that staggeringly beautiful video - I imagine she'll be a blubbering mess forever whenever she thinks of it.
My heart goes out to you and yours - I totally lost it when the kids came on...

Thankyou

That was truly beautiful Kris! When the kids came on it was really impacted me. They're so cute!

All my thoughts and prayers.

P.S. Woah, a RED One at 4K. Man that's hardcore! Don't tell me you get you work with them all the time?

(no wonder you needed a new drive system)

Caught the vid this morning on 9 Morning News, they played a fair bit of it, their most 'clicked' video apparently. Very moving.

Thanks guys. It's been quite an overwhelming response.

The video has had 36,000 hits in 24 hours. My blog has had 33,000 hits in the same time period.

We're going to talk to the Today show on Monday morning to help raise cancer awareness and to get blokes to go to the doctor. Hopefully it will motivate a lot of people to take their health more seriously.

Thanks for all your encouragement.

Dwane, I figured you'd dig the Red/Zeiss reference. And yeah, that's why I needed to upgrade my storage. HD uses about 6 times the space as SD.

Hi Kris
You looked great on the TV, I hope you feel good as well. Saying nothing was sending a very deafening message.

All our love to you and all the family.

Kris,

I shared your video on my Facebook page. I hope you don't mind.

I just wanted all my friends to see it. I absolutely love it. I know they will too.

I'll pull it if you object.

Cheers

Not a problem.

It's had over 200,000 views since Thursday. A few more won't hurt.

It's getting a bit hard to cope with atm... I only had chemo infusion on Friday so I'm very much out of it and the phone won't stop ringing.

We only posted it on the web so our families could see it.... didn't expect this at all.

2 major networks this morning Kris! You guys were awesome. It's been amazing to watch from the sidelines from when you first told us till now.
It takes a certain kind of person to turn a negative into the amazing positive you've made. We all hope to touch people with the music we make, but you are going to change the lives of people
you'll never know. Most people would run and hide, but you've done the opposite. You have set the bar very high for all of us my man.
Well done.

Not a better way to say it mate!!! Well done. I guess pretty much everyone has lost someone to this rotten disease, your vid pretty much speaks for everyone hurt by cancer.

There should be way more funding into understanding it as there are so many different types and causes, finding better cures is being hindered by the lack of understanding of the causes.

Anyway i'm sure your family are very proud of you.
