Hairspray The Musical (Melb)

Not sure if anyone on the forum is connected with the Hairspray Musical just opened in Melbourne recently, but congrats to you if you are. Flew down to see it last Thursday..... I've seen all the major musicals here in Oz, and this one is the best one I reckon, killer score/songs by Marc Shaiman, and incredible use of giant LCD screens for the set design/staging. I didn't see the band except via the TV monitor cue feed to the stage performers, but they were tight as and the live sound was outstanding. Good on you if you're involved with the production. Hope it comes up to Sydney!
